CLA Response to the Crisis in the Catholic Church
A Message from CLA
All of us are heartbroken and angered by the grand jury report in Pennsylvania and other allegations of abuse by Church leaders that have come to light recently. We will continue to seek honesty and accountability from our leaders, and we will continue to pray for justice and peace for those who suffer.
There has never been a greater need for lay leadership in our Church. At CLA, we remain steadfastly committed to our mission and continue our work with renewed vigor and resolve. Let all of us pray for, and work toward, a renewed, more just vision of our Church.
Responses to the Crisis in the Catholic Church
Below are a handful of responses to the crisis in the Church that we, the CLA staff, have found thoughtful. Our hope is that the CLA community can be a place for all of us to talk about the pain and anger we are experiencing as a Church.
Certainly, no single article contains the definitive way of proceeding. If there is an additional article or resource that you would like to share with the CLA community, please feel free to contact us via email. Our hope is that the CLA community can be a supportive place for us all to proceed together.
